Welcome to The Shell Cottages, a tiny hospitality company serving guests to our special properties in Cape May and Villas, NJ: your perfect vacation location! We love sharing our community through the homes we present to our guests.

As locals ourselves, we take a different approach to what we do because of who we are. We own, manage, and maintain traditional Cape May and Villas smaller homes with a focus on preserving the spirit of each property and its fit with the community. Cape May County is a special place for many who wouldn’t think of spending their vacation anywhere else, and we value that tradition. We have deep roots here ourselves, and we aim to preserve the Cape May experience that our family has been enjoying here for over 100 years.

let’s break some rules!

Rule One: A Jersey Shore Rental is a bare-bones house rental

Rule Broken: We provide bed linens and bath and beach towels. We stock our homes with enough essentials to last for your entire stay because buying toilet paper shouldn’t be on your vacation fun list.

Rule Two: The last day of your vacation is spent with a bucket and a mop

Rule Broken: Our cleaning team makes sure each home is spic-and-span for each guest, so you can spend that last morning with a bucket and shovel at the beach.

Rule Three: Properties are owned by out-of-towners and managed by someone else

Rule Broken: We are local, year-round residents of Cape May County. This community is our home, and we want our guests to have the best experiences here so they love it as much as we do.
